Danielle is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, RASP -Category A, and co-founder of RISE Learning Centre. She received a Bachelor's degree in Education from University of São Paulo and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Simon Fraser University. As a Behaviour Interventionist and Behaviour Analyst she has implemented behaviour and social skills programs using the methods of Applied Behaviour Analysis. As a mom of a child with autism, Danielle brings a range of experience and personal understanding to help individuals and their families.
Mackenzie Martin, B.A., BCaBA
Mackenzie Martin is a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst, RASP - Category B, and co-founder of RISE Learning Centre. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Victoria and is now pursuing her Master’s of Applied Behaviour Analysis at Florida Institute of Technology. She has much experience developing evidence-based intervention programs based on Applied Behaviour Analysis for children with diverse abilities and works collaboratively with families and various professionals in the field to help individuals and their families achieve goals. Mackenzie believes personal strengths should be focused upon in order to maximize skill development.
Speech Language Pathologists
Max Mosley, M.Sc., S-LP (C)
Max is a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in language development for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He received a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University. Max works with children from the age of 2-21 years old on building both receptive and expressive language skills, improving play skills and social communication, improving articulation (i.e., speech sounds) and fluency (i.e., stuttering and rate), and increasing motivation and desire to communicate with others. He is proficient in the use of lo-tech (e.g., PECS, PODD) and hi-tech (e.g. NovaChat, TouchChat, LAMP, & Proloquo2Go) alternative communication techniques.
Clinical Counsellor
Joel Kroeker, DAPsych, MA., MMT, MTA, RRC Joel Kroeker is a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC #3854), Music-centred Psychotherapist (MTA #0525), and Zurich-trained Jungian Analyst specializing in children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. His counselling work draws on over 20 years of previous experience as an arts-based educator. He has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and extensive clinical experience supporting children and families affected by developmental and mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ASD, ADHD, CD/ODD, FASD, acquired brain injury and Down Syndrome. Joel offers dream work, music therapy, expressive arts, symbol work and imaginal exploration, Jungian-based depth work, as well as contemporary approaches in his sessions.
