Introduction to ABA Workshop
The training will provide foundational knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis for those working or seeking positions as behaviour interventionists, education assistants, resource teachers, integration aides, other paraprofessionals or professionals working in the field of autism spectrum disorders and/or developmental disabilities, as well as parents, guardians, or family members of children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
The training will include lectures, videos, small group discussion, and role-playing. A certificate will be provided upon the completion of the training.

Training Objectives:
- After successful completion of the training, participants will be able to:
- Describe Applied Behaviour Analysis, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Early intensive behavioural intervention
- Implement both structured and naturalistic teaching methodologies used in ABA programs (DTT, NET, shaping, chaining, prompting)
- Generalize skills using a variety of techniques
- Identify and describe the ABCs of learning
- Understand the functions of behaviour
- Identify some strategies for managing problem behaviour
- Help to promote appropriate behaviours
